Yamaha's popular A1RII Dreadnought has received some new features while still maintaining the same look, feel and sound of the original A1R. It has a solid spruce top and rosewood sides, back, fretboard and bridge. The set-in neck is made of mahogany. The result is a rich tone with clear, rounded accents in the high frequencies. Underneath the top, this A1RMKII features a scalloped bracing that offers more room for the low and mid tones to resonate.

A1RII: balanced, clear, and powerful

In order to amplify this lively acoustic guitar in a way that does it justice, Yamaha equipped it with a System72 preamplifier and an SRT piëzo pickup at the rosewood bridge. As well as the volume control and built-in tuner, the updated A1R features an especially potent 3-band equalizer. In combination with the bass and treble, you've got a rotary knob for the mid frequency, augmented by a mid fq pot. With it, you can determine which mid tones you want to highlight or minimise. Thanks to the matte finish and comfortable, familiar mahogany neck profile, this guitar may be brand-new, but it'll feel like you've been playing it for years.
